Christmas is a time for merriment and joy.
Some of which comes from getting tipsy with the family on christmas eve or having one to many mulled wines before christmas dinner.
For the majority of my life (I've only been able to legally drink for just under two years now) I drank Buck's Fizz whilst the rest of the relatives drank wine and their drinks of choice. I was allowed a glass of mulled wine here and there but mostly I had the offerings of Schloer and Elderflower pressé, not that I complained! However it is nice now to have a broader selection of drinks to choose from, especially ones that warm you up a little in the cold weather.
So I thought it would be nice to share a few drinks that could be offered at christmas parties or even family gatherings. It's always funny when that one relative has a few too many, try and tell me you don't have a christmas memory that involves something along those lines?
Classy Cocktails
Mimosa (why not try adding some ginger to this for a festive twist?)
Winter Warmers
Christmas Spirits
You'll probably notice a trend in the use of Baileys! I just think it's such a perfect christmas tipple and it can make some really yummy drinks. Just think about snuggly up on the sofa with a cosy blanket, watching christmas films, with a warm mug of Baileys hot chocolate, mmm.
I hope there's enough of a selection here to suit a range of tastes and occasions and it's inspired you to try some new drinks. You could even have a bit of a taster session with your friends beforehand!
Obviously it is very important to drink responsibly and only if you are over 18.
