Travel

Travelling is something I've always had my heart set on doing, I want to go as many places as I can and see as much of the world as possible. If I can I'd love a job that allowed me to travel with it and visit new places, but I know that is a massive goal and not one that's easily accomplished.
So in order to get it out of my system before having to knuckle down again for uni, I have chosen to take a gap year. This is something I've always considered even though I've had my mum try and talk me out of it and I know afterwards it will be hard to get back into the swing of uni lifestyle but I can not wait!

Straight after my exams, I am going to Turkey for a week and then I am going to work solidly to save money to go Interrailing for a month.
Interrailing is essentially a ticket that allows you to use public transport such as trains and buses all around Europe for however long your ticket lasts. Its takes a bit of planning but is so flexible if you are organised and know what you want to get out of that time.

I really hope I get the chance to travel more after uni or even in the summers whilst I'm at uni. I'd even love to live in a couple of places for a little while just to experience different cultures. I think the UK is so sheltered and different from the rest of the world and there's so many amazing things to see that just aren't available here.

I know there are lots of people who have the same aims but I think it's one of those things that are easily pushed aside as a dream that seems unrealistic, or other responsibilities get in the way, so It's important to get as much done now while I don't have many things tying me here.

A person who really inspired my wanderlust is Louis Cole from the youtube channel FunForLouis, and his vlogs are just so awe-inspiring and literally make me so jealous, so I would advise you check him out!

P.S all the photos above, apart from the collage at the top, are photos I took on a recent holiday to Majorca. It it such a beautiful place and is so colourful!
