Simple vs Garnier ~ Micellar Cleansing Wipes

I must admit, like most other people I expect, I am very lazy when I take off my makeup. I used to be so good! I had a whole evening routine, I would remove my makeup, cleanse, tone and moisturise! But somewhere along the way I got too tires for that and I reverted to the much disapproved face wipes!

However I have a justification for my decision in this! They are not merely cleansing face wipes, they are micellar wipes. The ever-so raved about makeup remover which turns a chore into a doddle. And I can't praise them enough, however I did want to point out some differences I have established when it comes to brands.

Garnier and L'oreal were the first to bring micellar to the drugstore as far as I know, and I was all over it. I loved the stuff, as you can see here, all the way back in 2013!! And I used it religiously, until I got a bit bored and decided to give other brands a go.

That so happened to be when Simple introduced the micellar cleansing wipe. Now my procrastinating dreams really did come true. They're great for travel, come with a decent amount of product on the wipe, meaning I only really use one wipe a day for my eyes, or two if I'm wearing full on face makeup. They, so far, have been my fail-safe and the ones that I return to again and again.

However, I saw the Garnier version on offer and decided to trial them as I loved the solution so much prior. If I'm honest, this one was a bit of a let down, the wipes are a bit stretchy and therefore slip around in your hand when using them and they seems to not carry as much product either, meaning they take more to cleanse the face as efficiently.

You get the same amount of wipes in each pack so no quabble there, but all in all I prefer Simple's version.

In The Style - Nostalgia

I absolutley love Charlotte and have done for a long time, I loved the previous collection of her clothing line however I think her new release 'Concrete Jungle' is just on another level! There are so many different pieces from this selection that I want to buy and look so wearable. So I thought I would share a few of my favourites with you (although I do seem to have included pretty much every item).

Dreamy Shoes

I was scrolling through tumblr recently and was stop in my absent minded tracks when I came across these beauties. I don't have much need for many pairs of heels, therefore the ones I do own are relatively cheap and plain. However I do have a dream for the future to own my very own pair of Christian Louboutin's and I think these are absolutley stunning! I'm in love with the colour and the material used and the height looks doable without being too painful. What a difference a good pair of heels can do for confidence right?! I reckon I'd feel 10ft tall in these (and look it).

We can all dream though right?

New Year, New Jewellery

Hi, I'm back! I hope you all had a lovely christmas and new year!

Ok so technically these aren't brand new, I got them in the Black Friday sales at an amazing deal, but I wanted to talk about them as they are the most recent pieces of jewellery I have bought and I have worn them both every day since they arrived.

So I saw a blog post about this website, jewellerybox.co.uk, just before the BF sales showing which pieces would be on offer and as soon as I saw these earrings I was sold. They were £1! Yes you read that right. They are sterling silver 4mm ball earrings on a chain that pulls through your ear. They are so understated but are really lovely and I have had so many compliments on them since I have been wearing them.

Whilst I was on the website I had a look around and since I have been wanting to buy a silver necklace for a long time now I thought it would be a perfect chance to pick one up. There is a great selection to choose from but in the end I decided to get this wishbone pendant on an 18 inch chain. I love the symbol of the wishbone and it's just a nice, simple charm; this was £7.90.

What I was most astounded by other than the prices was how it arrived! It came with the cutest personalised invoice, with a mini candy cane for christmas. The packaging of the jewellery was also so simple yet it showed care had been put into each order and if you know me, then you know I love a good it of packaging!

I would most definitely recommend this website, there is even some sales on at the moment, so go check them out!
