Tanya Burr Lipgloss and Nail Varnish Collection

The day has come people! It's here and waiting to be bought!
I have been so excited for this day and it's come so quickly! I can't wait to be paid so that I can get my hands on them!

The lipglosses have an amazing selection of colours and of course Tanya being a makeup artist and lover herself knows exactly what is needed and loved from these products. I am so excited to try them out and doubt they'll disappoint.
I thought I would show you the ones I'm looking forward to trying the the ones I think I going to buy straight off.

I realise that I want at least 6 of the 10 nail varnishes but they're such lovely colours and even more than that I just love the names!!
As I'm not one for lipgloss generally I don't have as many that I want but I still can't wait to try them and can't wait to see what the consistency and pigmentation is like in them. I think the two pinks are lovely just for everyday and then the red is gorgeous either for a more special occasion or even just to gloss up a nice red lippy! They are such a reasonable and affoerdable price and for sale on Feel Unique now :) They deliver all over the world and only for £1.50 too or free when over £10!!

For the last time (I promise) I can't wait to get my mitts on these bad boys and hopefully as many as I can!

Which ones have you got your eyes on? Have you seen this collection yet?
I hope you enjoyed reading this post and don't forget to check out my links below :)

Girl Crush: Gillian Zinser

So everyone has a girl crush or two right? So I thought I would share my latest. She is known from her role as Ivy Sullivan in 90210, but that isn't how I found her, silly I know but I'm really tempted to watch it now... I have so many to keep up on at the moment though I don't know if I could take another.
Anyway, I found her through pinterest, as you can see she has some really amazing pictures, and I just love them! I absolutely LOVE her hair, I want mine to look like that! and also she is just stunning, I love her fashion sense, it's so laid back and effortless yet still so on trend, it's sort of boho-ey and and relaxed, yet she changes it up quite a bit to make it her own, which I love. One thing I'm super jealous of is that she can pull of hats! I so wish that I could but I'm really just not a hat person sadly. Anyway before I ramble on too much, there's my girl crush at the moment and I'd love to see who you're loving, style crushes as well!

I hope you liked this post, check out my pinterest here and don't forget to check out my other links below too :)

Wishlist Series #3 Lipsticks I Want

1/2/3/4/5/6
I think it's now safe to say that I wouldn't be able to fit all the lipsticks I want onto this post, I am a bit of a fanatic when it comes to lipsticks and they're have fast become my favourite piece of makeup, to buy and and just to own.

Unintentionally I've included my favourite three brands when it comes to lipstick and I think that is just coincidence as I like them so much.

I'll start with the two MAC lipsticks first, I only own one of these but I love it so much I just know I want/need more already. Russian Red is a well loved red lipstick, if not one of THE red lipsticks, I have been looking for a matte red that is really pigmented and last a long time for ages and I think I'm just going to have to bite the bullet and admit I won't find a decent one any cheaper than this. Secondly Vegas Volt is a kind of new-ish one for me, I saw it on a Youtube video somewhere and instantly wanted it. The colour is not what I expected at all from the name (of which I had only heard not seen) and was pleasantly surprised by it. The same as before, MAC lipsticks have great longevity and pigmentation, can't go wrong!

Next is Revlon, the cheaper highstreet brand that is amazing quality or the price and has such a range of colours! I love how hydrating they are and the pigmentation is also great. I'm not sure if these type are new or not but I've only been seeing them recently and really like the look and colours they offer. I also love the Just Bitten Kissable Balm stains from Revlon and look forward to picking up one of the new matte colours!

Lastly is Rimmel, now I love Rimmel they were I think one of the first brands I bought lip products from years ago when all I loved was lipglosses. Yet their lipsticks are just as good and so affordable! I love my 107 by Kate and I've seen and heard a lot about 111 Kiss of Life so I thought I needed to venture out into wearing more red and this seemed like a cheap and easy way to go, they don't disappoint.

So there's number 3 in my wishlist series I hope you enjoyed this post and like the series so far :)

Clarins Opalescence Spring 2014 Makeup Collection

Just wow! I don't think I have ever looked forward to a make up collection this much! It is just stunning!

Images sourced from the Clarins website. Lipsticks not shown.
There isn't one thing in this collection that I wouldn't buy, it's all just too pretty! I am especially drawn to the powder, I mean come on, look at that compact!

The products however that I would especially pick out the buy are the Teint powder & blush, multi cream blush, the single mineral shadows and the Instant Light Complexion Brightener, shown above.

The powder is priced at £30 which for me is a bit out of price range, however that doesn't stop me wishing, I think it is half the packaging that draws me in so much but just look at it I can't help myself and then inside it is just as pretty, what more can you want?! Ugh frustration!

The cream blushes are at a more affordable price of £18 each which has me very tempted, oh dear. I am loving the look of no.3 Grenadine and no.4 rosewood from the swatches over at Pixiwoo, so I may be looking at a spurge next month when these hit the counters (oopsie).

As well as this I'm adoring the single eye shadows, 17 smoky plum is also swatched over at Pixiwoo and looks so amazing and shimmery and pigmented, not having seen a swatch of 04 golden rose, I'm not sure on the colour but I can imagine, and I'm so sad not to be able to have these, but at £17 a go I just can't see myself affording them or justifying the price compared to others, sad face.

Finally the Instant Light Complexion Brightening base caught my eye as each colour is meant for a different purpose and and I liked the look of 02 champagne as it's for it's supposed to help redness as well as illuminating your skin, which is intriguing for me and also it's just pretty, I mean they know what they're doing when it comes to packaging, I'm such a sucker for it. The only price I can find for this one is $37 so I'm not sure what it will be over her, but probably roughly a similar price, so this to is sadly a bit out of my range at the moment, damn.

I hope you liked pouring over these gorgeous products as much as I did, I'll see you soon :)

Hairspiration

Lately I've realised that one of the reasons I'm so irregular/ inconsistent with blogging is that I try to hard to make my posts as 'perfect' as possible and I aim them to try and be something that I think people will want to read, however the reason I started this blog is because I thought it was an amazing place that people came to share things they liked and talked about things they loved and to meet great people from all over the place, it's occurred to me that I am not getting fro this blog what I did initially and I'm being to hard on myself, by checking my stats to often and being disappointed compared to those bloggers that I love, I know it takes time and effort but I guess I forgot about that and that I need to put in more to enjoy it more, so when I wrote a post the other day that I loved and I got great feedback from it made me realise that I was being silly and that I don't blog for the stats, I blog because I love it and enjoy it and it allows me to write what I really think.

So to bring this blog back to the way I pictured it originally and how I love it, I wanted to share something that I genuinely love and can't believe I haven't blogged about before! Hair. Yes that's right, I'm obsessed with it, not in a creepy fetish kind of way obviously, get your minds out of the gutter, but I do honestly love it. Personally I have quite long hair that I do love and have grown quite attached to (shh don't judge me), the Disney princess I want to be is Rapunzel and I have no shame in that! (Also I have always wanted green eyes, and a chameleon would be such a cool pet!)
But anyway back on topic, in a world where I could have a million jobs, a hairdresser would definitely be one of them. I love all the different hairstyles you can do (although I sadly lack the talent to do any on my own hair), but I adore flicking through pictures of different hairstyles and colours. I have a whole Pinterest board here dedicated to hairstyles and pictures of such a kind, I have also been known to have a reblogging spree on tumblr one too many times when I've happened upon a pretty blog or something.

I don't know what it is, and it is sounding weirder and weirder as I type this post but I generally just love looking at hairspiration, so I thought I'd share some with you guys :)

Blog Refurb

Hi All,

As those regulars of you can see my blog has had a bit of a refurb, I like this theme a lot better but I'm still trying to get my banner just right (I'm still tweaking it). I hope it's easier to navigate and nicer for you to look at than my last one :)
Seeing it from this perspective rather than a viewers is a lot harder to know what's good and what isn't, so if you do find anything that's not working or doesn't really fit, then your feedback would be really welcome to make your visit more pleasant.

As much as this blog is for me, I like to know that you lot who read it like it to, I guess it makes what I'm doing a whole lot more worth while!

Thank you,

Wishlist Series #2 Blushers and Bronzers I Want

1/2/3/4/5/6
Ok so this is post #2 of my wishlist series and the theme this time is cheek products, I've rounded it off as blushers and bronzers but I did sneek in a MAC skin finish, I just couldn't help myself ok?

So I have been wanting a few of these for a really really long time now and others are just a few that have caught my eye and made me go ooh! The Body Shops Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder (try saying that quickly!) I saw on one Essie Buttons videos and well she should just be a sales person! As soon as I saw it, I wanted it and I've heard so many good things about it, plus I'm very fair skinned so anything Essie likes I will to.
The same goes with the Bourjois chocolate bronzer, I'm sure a lot of you are gobsmacked I don't own this already as everyone and their mothers do, but I was slightly put off a while back by SprinkleOfGlitters comments that it had hardly any pigmentation and other such negative comments, however after seeing the more recent reviews and testing it myself I think I'm willing to give it a go, as I'm fair skinned and don't need much bronzer anyway.

Another thanks to Essie Button (gosh) is the Jouer Mattifying bronzer, my god I need this bronzer, it's matte which I love in a bronzer, it's a portable size and it's super pigmented, ugh be still my beating heart would you. All that for a bronzer, I think I need to control myself. But there you go I want it!

The Zoeva Blush set is just gorgeous there is a perfect selection of colours and really affordable at only £18, also I like the fact that their all mineral blushes as I don't actually own any.

Finally I had to slip this one in, its the MAC mineralised skin finish in Soft and Gentle, yes this much loved, much raved product is still yet to be mine, but it is just stunning and just to pretty to ignore. As well as this, the other MAC powder product to catch my eye recently is this powder blush in Mocha, it's a lovely matte blush that I think would suit my skin tone and bring a nice flush to my cheeks without being to much.

That's all for now, do any of you have these products? Or any others you would recommend to me?

I'll also be tracking the tag #wishlistseries on twitter if anyone wants to comment that way, I'd love to see what you guys are loving/wanting at the moment!

Wishlist Series #1 Neutral Palettes I Need

1/2/3/4/5/6
I thought I would start a little series of things that I'm wanting at the moment, as my birthday is coming up soon I thought it would be fun to make little lists of things I'm wanting at the moment. I know I'm nosy and love looking at these types of posts so I hope you enjoy them to. Firstly I'm starting with eyeshadow palettes, let me know if you think I should carry on :)

I know that neutral colours are everyone's favourites and that everyone probably already has these palettes, but at the moment I don't really wear a lot of eyeshadow and neutrals are a good place to start or practice with whilst I'm still a newby; plus there are so many different variations!! I've wanted a few of these for a while now and I know that I've mentioned a few as well, so sorry about that but their just so pretty to look at right?!

I hope you liked seeing the palettes I have my greedy little eyes on at the moment, is there anything you're wanting specifically at the moment?

As always thanks for reading and don't forget to check out my links :)

#2014BloggerChallenge Topic Two Skincare

So it's topic two and it's skincare! This is actually really relevant for me at the moment as I have just changed around my skincare routine and actually was going to post about it, so this is a two in one!

So I thought I would just share what I'm using at the moment and give a quick run down of what my routine is.
So firstly, as you can see, I'm using a lot of Superdrug's Vitamin E range and I'm actually really loving it (and so is my skin!).
I decided to try the hot cloth cleanser as there has be loads of ravings about how great they are recently, and I have seen this one pop up a few times, as well as it being uber cheap compared to others, so it ticked all the boxes. It really is brilliant and leaves my face feeling clean and smooth. The night moisturiser is just as great, it nourishes your skin beautifully but doesn't feel to heavy to put on before bed like others have for me. Lastly the radiance moisturiser I got for free with an offer from my beautycard points which was handy, it has a slight shimmer to it though so I think this will be better for the summer, as well as having 15spf, however I wanted to show it with the other products.

My Routine
In the mornings I tend to moisturise with my Philosophy moisturiser, I absolutely LOVE this so much, and I will definitely repurchase this once I've run out; it is so nourishing and so light and just amazing all round! When I take off my makeup I tend to just use the hot cloth cleanser, taken off with the muslin cloth it comes with, however if my eye makeup is quite heavy I will remove the majority of it with my L'Oreal 3in1 micellar soultion and then use the cleanser. Then after that I will pat my face dry and apply the night moisturiser. Lastly if I have any spots or blemishes or irritated skin I will dab a bit of Savlon on it over night for as long as it takes to help clear up the irritated or red skin and reduce the spot.

Finally I thought as it's winter and very chilly out still, I would mention the hand creams I'm using at the moment, the Johnson's 24 hour moisture hand cream, is a lovely basic hand cream that does everything you need from a hand cream at a reasonable price as well as smelly lovely and flowery, however my L'Occitane Hand Cream in Jasmin Passion (which I got as a freebie from a magazine!) I love love love, it smells gorgeous and is so hydrating for your hands, keeping them soft and smelling great! (I still don't know how to say L'Occitane by the way)

I hope you liked seeing the products I use and my skincare routine.

Would You Rather TAG ~ Beauty Version

Hey guys,
So I didn't really know what to blog about and I promised myself this year that I wouldn't leave it ages between posts. So I thought I would do a TAG post as I'm not sure if I've ever done one or if I have i was a while ago, so here goes:

1.) Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lipglosses or lose all of your palettes and eyeshadows?
I would definitely rather lose all of my eyeshadows and palettes as I don't wear eyeshadow that often anyway, or if I do it tends to be very neutral anyway. I practically never eave the house without at least mascara on so yes, definitely the eyeshadows.

2.) Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?

I would go for never be able to cut it again, when I was younger I had a bob and absolutely hated it, I love having long hair and couldn't imagine not. Plus the little girl in me has a dream of being Rapunzel so...

3.) Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?

Pink cheek, I think it just suits my skin tone better. Also it can be worn in winter and summer, whereas I think coral looks better in the summer.

4.) If you had £1000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or makeup?

Oooh, such a hard choice! Ideally I would spend it on both, and I want to say I would spend it on makeup because that would be so easy! However I think it would be hard to use that much makeup practically, so I pick clothes. (but secretly it's makeup...wait I can't pick...I don't know!)

5.) Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner, or eyeliner as lipstick?

Eyeliner as lipstick because all my lipsticks are reds or pinks and I don't think that would look to great on my eyes, plus pink eyes can mean all sorts of things... But pulling off dark lips could be slightly easier I reckon.

6.) Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?

MAC, for sure, mainly as I've never shopped in Sephora so I won't be missing anything I don't have, and I just love MAC so much.

7.) Would you rather only use one eyeshadow colour or one lip colour for the rest of your life?

One eyeshadow colour!!

8.) Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?

Winter clothes in summer, I get waay to cold in winter anyway and plus it would stop me from burning in the summer!

9.) Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round?

Considering most of my nail varnishes are dark anyway, I'll go with dark.

10.) Would you rather give up your favourite lip product or your favourite eye product?

Favourite lip product, as much as I hate to say it, but I could not lose my mascara!

11.) Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a ponytail or a messy bun?

Tricky one, I would probably say ponytail, just because that's how I wear it generally.

12.) Would your rather never be able to paint your nails again or never use lipgloss?

Never wear lipgloss, I don't wear it anyway really.

13.) Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all or sharpie them in everyday?
I think I would have to sharpie them in everyday, I mean can you imagine just having no eyebrows?

14.) Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish?
Without nail polish, I literally feel naked without at least some makeup on, and also I enjoy buying, using and just looking at makeup more than nail polish!

So there you go, my answers to the beauty would you rather :)
I hope it wasn't to long, and it was interesting to see what I thought, I'd love to know your answers or for you to do this tag too.
I tag you, all of you reading this, if you do, leave a link in the comments and I'll make sure to check it out :)

December Favourites

Oh lordy am I bad, in all the excitement of Christmas and New Year's December was over and done with before I'd even realised it started! So I'm using that as the excuse for being a whole week late in doing my December favourites. I have actually seen others and thought to myself, "I must do that", but along with everything else, it was forgotten, so sorry about that *slaps wrists*.

Nevertheless here they are!

As you can see its a bit lip balm obsessed but it is winter ok, so its acceptable. However I'll start with the cleanser; this is the Simple purifying cleansing lotion, now this has been a part of my skincare routine for a while now and the bottle still feels pretty full, although it's not quite a little goes a long way, it still seems like no matter how much you used the bottle stays full! However I wouldn't say that this is the most amazing cleanser ever but it does a good job and is everything that I need from a cleanser without being hard on my pocket, so that makes it a favourite of mine!

Ok so onto the lip balms, as you can see I've gone a bit crazy for Carmex, I kind of missed to hype on Carmex a while ago and never really got into it as its a bit more expensive than other lip balms, not hugely I know, but I used to be a tight arse when it came to money, now look at me! So when I bought the first tube I just needed a new lip balm and fancied trying something new, so I just grabbed it to give it a go. Turns out I loved it so much I got the cherry and the strawberry versions too! But you can never have to many lip balms and I tend to keep them all in different bags so I have one wherever I am. They have a strange tingly sensation that I love and seem to really get rid of dry skin on your lips, I like to use this before putting on lipstick and it makes your lips a lot smoother. As well as Carmex this Nivea lip balm is brilliant too, I keep it by my bed as for some reason my lips are always dry before I go to sleep and this just feels so nourishing and hydrating, I love it!

Next up is my Rimmel Stay Matte powder, as I'm sure you're all aware of this product I won't ramble on to much, but it really is just brilliant and so cheap too!

My most favourite of favourites this month has to be the L'Oreal Super Liner Ultra Precision in Black, this liquid eyeliner is just insane! It it easy to control and to get thin or thick lines with, it stays literally forever (or until you take it off, I hope this comes first), I promise you this little buddy will not budge, it's got great pigmentation and is just everything you could ask from an eyeliner, as well as being inexpensive. Perfection.

And last but not least my Barry M nail varnish in 355 Gold Mine Glitter, this is a lovely spin on an ordinary black varnish that makes it a lot more festive and a lo more interesting, I put one coat over my fav 356 Berry Cosmo on my ring finger for an accent nail and it deepens the colour without making it black, just gorgeous. Also on it's own it's simply stunning to, I love how versatile it is and would definitely recommend this to someone who doesn't like wearing just plain black, as it adds a slight dazzle to what some people may call a dull colour (not me though, I love a good bit of black polish here and there).

So that's my favourites for December, sorry again for the delay and I hope you enjoyed it :)

#2014BloggerChallenge Topic One New Years Inspiration

Post number two today, I'm on a roll!

Ok guys I'm sorry I cheated already and posted a resolutions post too, but as it's my first new year with my blog I wanted to start the tradition now so that I could look back and see how I've done/what my past resolutions were.

So, now that the apologies are over with this is my inspiration for all of you!

The credit of this one obviously goes to Fun For Louis as this is his little catch phrase/slogan, and his top is part of his merch, however I really do like it and it portrays perfectly how he sees life. He lives every day to the full and it's insane to see his daily vlogs, so that's why I picked this one.

I love this quote and it reminds you that even when something goes wrong or doesn't go the way you planned, you can always come out the other side of it better for it and having learnt something from it. I think its important to know that everyone has bad days and everyone makes mistakes so don't beat yourself up about it, pick yourself up and look forwards because looking back will prevent you from living now. Don't regret, move forward.

I hope you enjoyed my inspiration and if you want to see more quotes, I previously did a feature introducing all my posts with a quote picture, so feel free to check those out :)

Don't forget to check out my other links and I'll see you in 2 weeks for Topic #2.

2014: New Years Resolutions

Happy New Year Everyone!

So it's officially 2014 and it's time I made my resolutions; although I never seem to be able to stick to them.

So my resolutions for 2014 are:
  1. Be more organised. I am the most organised person ever yet I hate things to be messy or unplanned, so I've decided to put my foot down on myself and try will all my might to be more organised, in the long run making myself less stressed.
  2. Enjoy things in the moment more. I am such a worrier, I literally worry about everything possible, I think of all the alternative ways things can go wrong or mess up that it holds me back from really appreciating what I have and what I'm doing so I'm going to make a concious effort to enjoy life more even if that is in balance with a little worry (I have a feeling being organised will help this)
  3. Try a little harder. I'm definitely guilty of only putting in the minimal effort required and I know that, so with everything in my life I'm going to try a little (or a lot) harder. That includes college work, social life and this little blog here. I think I have begun to find what I like to write about therefore I know the sort of direction I want to go in, hopefully that means more regular posting and better content.
  4. Save money! I'm a sucker for just spending money if I have it, on things that I want but don't really need. Now that I'm looking to start driving soon I really do need to save my hard earned cash for the more important things. This will be the hardest one I think.
So I'm going to leave it there with four resolutions, starting slowly with only a few goals I think is a good idea and it's not asking to much of myself, making this a whole lot more manageable.

I really hope I stick to these this year, lets just hope for the best!
I hope you enjoyed reading my resolutions, what are yours? Are you any good at following through with the resolutions you make each year?

Thank you for reading this post and don't forget to check out my other links and give me a follow :)
