FOTD: Boardmaster's Festival

So I'm going Boardmasters festival today and I thought I'd do a quick fotd, I've gone very natural, with just a slight shimmer.

For my base I started with my Miss Sporty Liquid concealer in 001 light (which stupid me forget to include in the photos sorry) just to cover up a few blemishes I have at the moment, I then went on use my Rimmel Match Perfection foundation in 100 ivory; I set this with Natural Collections Loose powder in neutral translucent. On top I added a light dusting of e.l.f's blush in peachy keen to the apples of my cheeks; this has a gorgeous shimmer in it that picks up the light and almost highlights your face, although saying that this blush is quite sheer so you have to build it a little.

Onto my eyes I have really been loving using my MUA Undress Me Too palette, for everyday I have just been sweeping on the shade Shy all over my lid, it gives a nice shimmer without being to much and is a lovely champagne-y nude. Today I (attempted to) put a hint of e.l.f's brown shade from the butter pecan duo I bought recently, just to contour my eyes slightly more and add a bit of colour. Just to line my eyes I used my Maybelline gel liner, I really love how easy this is to use and how versatile it can be. For my lashes I used my Estee Lauder Double Wear lengthening mascara and a quick top coat of my Maybelline le colossal volume mascara, this is my favourite combo and although I adore the Estee Lauder on it's own, the colossal really adds to the volume. I have recently purchased 2tre's khol pencil in no 16 white I ran this along my waterline just to widen my eyes a bit.

Last but not least a new favourite of mine, Maybelline's Baby Lips in Peach Kiss, this gives a lovely shimmer to the lips but is so so so moisturising and is beautiful for an effortless finish to the face.

Drugstore Haul

On my days off recently I popped into town and had a wander around my local Boots and Superdrug shops. Whilst in Boots I discovered they had a sale on their Rimmel nail varnishes and I just couldn't resist.

Left to right- sky high £2.19, tangy tangerine £1.99, marshmallow heaven £1.99
I firstly fell in love with marshmallow heaven just because of the name! How cute, and also as you know I cant resist a bit of purple, not that I need another one for the collection, oopsie. I then picked up Tangy tangerine because I don't own a lot of summery bright colours so I thought this pastel orange would be perfect to brighten up my nails. And finally I thought it was about time that I bought a light blue, I don't own many blues at all but the ones I do have are either dark, or metallic. And I just couldn't resist the bargain to be quite honest, I feel like if I don't take advantage of it I will kick myself later.
The formulas of these varnishes are brilliant, they only need around 2 coats and they have a nice opaque colour, they stay on your nails for a good amount of time before chipping; about 2 or 3 days.

I also grabbed another Rimmel Match Perfcetion foundation because the one I bought before was a bit dark for my skin and as I haven't tanned as much as I hoped I just can't pull it off. The shade lighter is a great match for my skin and I really do love this foundation.

This was also on offer so I bagged this for £4.99 instead of £6.99, always good to save those pennies!

Next I popped into Superdrug, initially to grab some food but how could I resist the urge to check out the beauty isles?
I went to the skincare isle to see if they had any offers on and just to my luck I found something I had actually been needing! A new night cream, I feel like the one I have been using lately is to thick and oily, so that when I wake up I do not want to put makeup on it, as I feel like I'm just shovelling on another layer, not great. However a lovely pink label grabbed my attention and pointed out this beauty.

Firstly I want you to appreciate the gorgeous packaging! For an own brand and such a cheap product it really is lovely and little things like that make me want to by a product so much more (materialistic I know). Anyway it claims to have Kiwi fruit and Mulberry extracts for brightening and renewing fruit acids, also it says that it 'awakens the skin's natural glow, nourishes and replenishes'. Infused with plant extracts, it all sounds very natural and fresh. After all that, I really do enjoy using this, as the final step before I go to bed it really does soothe my skin after a long day and makes it feel replenished. It has a very refreshing smell that doesn't linger when on your skin, it sinks it nicely and is very light. A very nice replacement from my old dud. This was only £2.99 in the end, a great bargain.

Whilst at the till ready to pay for this I spotted the Maybelline Baby Lips on a shelf next to me, on offer for 3 for 2! I immediately grabbed the two flavours(?) that were there and asked the lady at the till is it was ok to grab another from the actual stand with a larger range, she said that was fine but knowing my luck I couldn't find it! I was rushing and flustered because there was a queue behind me so I just went back defeated and paid for both without the 3rd for free :( I was so happy to have found them finally as my local drug stores seemed to be the last in the country (a bit of an exaggeration) to sell them, but it disappointed me that they were so damn hard to find, probably just me be being blind.

I ended up getting Mint Fresh and Peach Kiss, I love the mint one as it's so fresh and is colourless, I keep this by my bed for before I go to sleep or when I wake up. Peach kiss gives a gorgeous shimmer to your lips as well as a slight pink tint and the smell is just amazing. I am so glad to have picked these up and will definitely be back for more!

Sorry this has been such a wordy post, I didn't intend it to be, promise.

Ooh, Estee Lauder

So it's not to far off now until I go to college and I think it's a good time to start a new; you can forget the stress and pressure of secondary school and totally refresh. Although secondary school forms you for who you will become college directs your future and it's important to keep looking forward. I'm so nervous, but at the same time I can't wait. Results day is so soon, oh god.

I worked rather a lot last month and pay day showed that, so I decided to treat myself. I don't own any high end brand product as I've never been able to afford them before, however I have fallen in love, I swear!

Several weeks ago my sister gave me a sample of Estee Lauder's Double Wear Zero-Smudge Lengthening mascara and oh my, it is simply amazing! It separates your lashes and fans them out as well as lengthening them beautifully; I have had multiple comments on how long my eyelashes looked whilst wearing this (as well as being asked if they wear fake) and it is my beauty must have! I know its quite expensive at £20.50, however there is always one item you should splurge on and for me this is it! Luckily when I went to buy this in a full tube they had an offer on, where you could get Estee Lauder makeup remover and Advanced Night Repair Eye Cream with it for the same price as the mascara alone. However I don't need the eye cream and the lady also said it would be to strong for me anyway, so my mother got a little present out of it, lucky lady.

I'm so pleased with this purchase and think I will most definitely repurchase this once it runs out. Highly recommended!

e.l.f haul

To say I was excited to see this had arrived today would be a huge understatement. I'm that excited I'm skipping the usual quote picture header and diving straight in! Eek!
Not so long ago e.l.f had an offer on of 60% off EVERYTHING! admittedly you had to spend £25 before the discount was taken off but, I ended up getting 30-something pounds worth for £18 including p+p, super impressed. I got 15 items in the end and I love every single one of them; now this post is going to be full of photos so I won't blab on too much, however I might do some independent reviews on a few products soon (if you have any requests, just ask).

Oh and one last thing they have another offer on now for 50% off everything, with a minimum of £10 spending until 9th August. I can't get enough, its almost dangerous.

Ok, so I know that's a lot of pictures, I'm sorry; but I know that I like to see what other people have got, maybe just cause I'm nosey, I'm not sure.
These photos don't do all of the shades and colours justice and my photography skills aren't great e.g the raspberry truffle eye shadow, its more plummy in person rather than just brown and also I found it difficult to capture the colour of the lip pen, its really a gorgeous, vintage mauvey rose colour.

I haven't tried out any of these products yet as I only received them today, and only opened some of them after the photos (I'm so messy at opening cardboard packaging) however I LOVE the packaging and the quality feel of the products and can't wait to try them out. The brush bristles are really soft yet dense and feel like they will last a long time.

Overall for the price I paid I'm over the moon with my new purchases and can't wait to use them (but they're too pretty to ruin! ).

Anyway I hope you enjoyed my post and don't forget to follow me on Bloglovin :)
