I have been lacking a bit of motivation lately and I think it's mostly down to having left school. Now that I don't have to get up early or be anywhere specific I have kind of gone slack and let myself go as you could say. Ultimately I haven't done as much as I could have and haven't made the most of the time I've had so far. However I've decided enough is enough and that I am going to try and organise myself a bit more and make myself do something worth while with my time. So that is what this picture is about! Just a little reminder that if you can you should do at least one thing a day.
Anyway onto the real subject of this post, sorry about rambling! Ok so I have been exploring my personal style lately and thinking about my staple pieces of clothing and what I like to wear; so I thought I would show you some of my style icons.
Ashley Benson
I am obsessed, to say the least, with PLL (pretty little liars) and I will be mentioning two of the actresses from the cast however to begin is Ashley Benson.
I really love how effortless her outfits look, yet they are still flattering and interesting. She tends to stick with simple outfits with neutral or monochrome colours with a pop of colour in a certain part of her outfit. I think this really works for her, I love how she accessorises and she always has great handbags as well.
Lucy Hale
The second PLL I also love as a singer and actress and she is also short, like me!
I think her style is very individual and really suites her shape and height. She is someone that I love every outfit she wears and knows how to dress for each occasion. Her taste is so likeable and never looks over done.
Vanessa Hudgens
I love how varied her style is, it really shows of every aspect of her personality and she never seems to 'follow' trends; I really like how Vanessa wears what she likes and looks great in everything. She can switch it up easily and effortlessly, from baggy cardigans and flowy skirts to monochrome skater dresses and classic denim shorts. She always seems to get it right and I love her boho chic.
Miley Cyrus
I know Miley has changed her style a bit lately and I do still like some of the stuff she wears however I prefer her older style choices.
Her simplistic look always seems to be topped off with large statement necklaces and I love this, they make every look seem more unique and finished. She did tend to wear a lot of distressed shorts and jeans which I love and think the messier look is perfect for this summer coming up and I loved her long brown hair; it always look beachy and I was always jealous of it. She wore bold, statement tee's with loose cardigans or and scarfs, which just look so casual and easy. I especially loved her clothes in the film 'LOL' (which is great by the way and if you haven't seen it you should!).
Lauren Conrad
I know Lauren's style is very well liked and a lot of people love her outfits so I guess I'm a little sheep in that sense, baa.
Firstly I'm so jealous of her classic Chanel quilted lambskin hand bag! One day, I promise. Anyway she pieces together every outfit so well down to the shoes and handbag, she has impeccable style and is enviable to say the least. I love everything she wears and kind of just wish I could be her to be honest.
Sorry this is such a long post be hey! you can just admire these brilliant women's fashion and be jealous for a little while.
So I hope you enjoyed my post and don't forget to follow me on Bloglovin :)
I have recently been loving the song 'Life's for the living' by Passenger and it has some similar lyrics to this in it, now that I have finished my exam I have a really long summer ahead that I don't intend on wasting. I want to do a lot of things and mainly I hope that I don't just end up sitting at home all day doing nothing. So I think this quote is very relevant, do what you want and don't regret what makes you happy.
I bought these ages ago and I don't know why its taken me so long review them! But here they are finally. I found these on Fragrance Direct for something silly like £1.99 each, and because of the price I just couldn't resist.
Calvin Klein-Henna
Firstly I love the colour of this lipstick, it comes out a lovely nudey minky pink, and is one of those 'your lips but better' colours. Being ever so materialistic I love that it's calvin klein and thinks it's a great addition to my ever growing collection. The formula is smooth and goes on nicely however if you have dry lips it does collect unevenly so if you apply some lipbalm or exfoliate your lips first it should be fine.
Rimmel Lasting Finish-005 Dreamer
I thought I would love this lipstick and read quite a few good reviews about it, and its nothing to do with the brand or formula it's just the colour. I think for me it's to light and being quite pale anyway it just doesn't suit me; which really annoyed me because the actual lipstick is lovely and really nice to wear. But I guess that's just the risk with buying online and not testing first.
Rimmel London Kate-05
I love this! I love the colour and its one of the brightest I own, it's a great lippy to just spruce up your outfit if your going out and really completes the look. It goes with anything and means that you don't have to plaster your face in make-up, instead you can just have statement lips! It is lovely and glossy and goes on beautifully. Easily my favourite out of the lot.
Overall I glad I have these to add to my collection and will definitely be buying some more Rimmel lippy's.

I think with exam stress and a lot of things going on for everyone at the moment it is important to remember to breathe and to relax; it's very easy to get caught up in everything and forget that sometimes it's important to just stop, so I think this photo is very relevant.
This post is going to be quite different to my others as they're mostly about beauty, however I want to branch off every now and then and do some different ideas.
I went shopping the other day and picked up a few odd bits and pieces.
To start with I went to Matalan (I think this is just a UK shop I'm not to sure) and picked up a few things for my bedroom.
I got these frames in the sale which I was very happy with, all 3 of them were together for £3 down from £5 and the design matches perfectly with how I'm re-doing my room, so this was a lucky little find!
Next I found this cute little mirror that has a 3x zoom on one side and is normal on the other so I thought this would be good for doing my make-up and hopefully will fit nicely in my room once I've finished it. It was only £4 and seems sturdy so hopefully I've found a nice bargain here.
Now onto clothing I bought a couple of pairs of shoes; now that the weather is warming up and summer is on it's way I'm praying for some sun so that I can get my little toes out! For this I needed some new sandals as I only have one pair and I think it's nice to be able to change them up a bit for different outfits. I instantly liked these and I like the support and straps on the ankle that these have. The detailing on the front gives them an edgy-ier look but unfortunately is very jangly (at least you won't lose me!), however I still love these and hope I get a chance to wear them. These were £16 which is slightly pricey for Matalan but I really liked them so it was easily justifiable.

After scouring the sandles and flats section, I popped into the heels section because I always like to drool over heels, being on he shorter side I favour heels a great deal and just think they're lovely really. So as I was looking I found these tossed aside near one of those stools you sit and try shoes on and I instantly fell in love with them! Luckily they were in my size so I tried them on and wanted them so badly, however I did have to debate how much I'll wear them and whether it's worth it, or if they'll sit in my wardrobe to be rediscovered 6 months later. So after umm-ing and ahh-ing leaving them at the bottom of the basket until last I finally decided to buy them, yay! I just love the chunky heel and the tan leather look is really flattering for any outfit. I think these will look great in the summer and would even look great with jeans. They were £20 which is reasonable for a pair of heels, I think.

I had to return something to New Look that I had ordered online so I had a voucher to spend, meaning I could buy a new pair of shorts for the summer, woo! I liked the fit of these and the detailing on the pockets that hang out the bottom as well as the slightly distressed look, these were originally £14.99.
Finally I nipped into Superdrug and picked up this VO5 Plump it Up shampoo, as I've heard some good things about it and have seen that to get more volume in your hair you used use shampoos intended for fine hair. Now my hair is far from fine and it actually rather thick however after using this shampoo I have instantly seen a difference in my hair. It has a lot more life and looks so much more voluminous without having to add any extra products. This was only just over the £2 mark I think so I would definitely recommend this!
So I've finally posted again after a short while, I hope to get back into a routine as soon as I've finished my exams.
Once again, I hope you enjoyed my post and don't forget to follow me on Bloglovin :)
